Juliusz Osterwa Theatre in Lublin is one of the most important cultural institutions on the map of Poland. Our task was to create a comprehensive visual identity that pays tribute to the rich heritage of the theater while positioning it as a place open to the present. We have developed a visual language that appeals to a wide range of audiences — from long-standing connoisseurs of dramatic art to new generations of viewers, building the image of a prestigious and at the same time dynamic institution.

The main challenge was to design a unique architecture of the brand, which would reconcile the historical character of the building and theatrical tradition with a modern artistic vision. We had to create a visual system that was flexible enough to match a diverse repertoire — from classics to experimental contemporary performances. The key objective was to distinguish the Osterwy Theatre from other cultural institutions and to build a strong brand recognition that inspires confidence and invites you to an emotional journey into the world of performing arts.

  • Brand Analysis: Conducting an image audit, interviews with management and comparative analysis of world cultural institutions.
  • Logo and Identification Design: The creation of a distinctive sign that bridges the gap between history and modernity, being the showcase of the theater in the ecosystem of culture.
  • Typographic and Color System: Selection of typefaces and color palette emphasizing the prestige of the institution, while ensuring excellent readability of information materials.
  • Design of Promotional Materials: Development of poster layouts, show programs, tickets and seasonal repertoire brochures.
  • Brand Guidelines (Brand Book): Develop detailed guidelines for brand application, including communication principles (tone of voice) and digital layouts.
